2. 2014 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
Which one and why?
![]() 06/19/2014 at 12:14 |

TT RS all day every day, no question. Why?
Turbo 5 cylinder.
/thread.

I'll take the Stang...I'm not big on the TT and I don't like red.

Kill those Audi wheels with fire.

ZL1 !!!!!
![]() 06/19/2014 at 12:18 |

ZL1. Magnetic ride. Supercharged V8. The only thing it's missing is the awful wheels the other two have.
![]() 06/19/2014 at 12:21 |

ZL1 because Supercharged V8 and Magnetorheological dampers.

TTRS easy. If you had a Boss 302 that would be different, but the GT500 is just too silly sketchy to drive. And the Camaro facelift is gross.
Why are current model year (relativly) limited production sports cars already at CarMax?

Audi TT-RS No doubt. I get the cool factor and Burnouts of the muscle cars. But that Audi is something special.

THIS.

The Mustang and TT are quicker than the Camaro here, so it comes down to pure power or AWD and handling? I'd probably take the Mustang, because 662hp.
![]() 06/19/2014 at 12:25 |
|
The ZL1 simply because of the magnetic ride, and 580hp! The Audi comes in a close second, rumor has it that they had to dial back the power to keep it slower than the R8.

ZL1 because hilarious burnouts and pretty good handling. Plus it's insanely quick
![]() 06/19/2014 at 12:29 |

Well that's a tough one. Make mine a V8, and although I love the current GT500, give me the ZL1, sans sunroof please. Some bolt ons so I can keep up with the Shelby wouldn't hurt either :D

I would take the TT RS in a heartbeat, but those wheels would have to go. Jesus.

GT500 becasue SVT pack

These don't compare really well. Out of these I would say TTRS all day. If it was these and a z/28 and a boss 302 it would be a very different story.

ZL1. Dat noise

as an only car here in canada, Id have to go TT RS. AWD snow hooning :P

While I generally hate VW and Audi, in this crowd I'd pick the TT RS.
The Camaro is heavy and impossible to see out of, the Mustang is a bit less heavy and slightly less impossible to see out of.
The TT still kind of sucks to see out of but it's the lightest car of the bunch by far, so it's my choice.

You need to make this more difficult. Obvious answer is obvious. The ZL1 is the way to go here.

FUUUUUCKKKKKK
you had to do this one...
Ok, The Audi sounds like sex, and drives amazingly but it looks fugly IMO
The Mustang looks good and is the god of speed, but I don't like the gay color on it...
The Camaro looks amazing, and is also amazing, but GM interiors....
WHY YOU DO THIS TO ME?
...I'll have to pick the Foudolet Mustaaro TT

They compare just fine, look at the prices.
![]() 06/19/2014 at 14:09 |

Yeah but the two are made for the drag strip and the other one is made for a road course.

The Camaro has magnetic ride and the GT500 has the SVT Package.

TTRS. Mostly because 'murica.

It's also rather expensive what you get, nominally FWD, and nowhere near as powerful as either. I don't think the largest engine is even half so powerful as the Mustang.
![]() 06/23/2014 at 12:16 |
|
Ok, well light weight and good visibility are things that matter to me when choosing a performance car. I'm not a huge TT fan, but in this bunch that's the choice I'd make.
As for "nominally fwd," the regular TT is for sure, but the RS gets a sufficient amount of tweaking done to its Haldex awd system over the regular TT, that this is much less of a concern for me.

The RS TT is nominally 3300 pounds, though this may well be higher in American spec. The Mustang GT is 3500. The GT500 is obviously a bit more, but the better comparison is the old Boss 302 - which weighs roughly the same as the TT RS and still has substantialy more power.
As for the drivetrain, it's a FWD car with a transaxle bolted on and a big lump of iron over the front wheels. It's a nice daily driver, but if you feel like dropping $57,000 on a car and prioritize performance...well, the C7 is in a league of its' own.
![]() 06/23/2014 at 16:32 |
|
Sure I'd pick a C7 over a TT RS but it's not on this list.
I was explaining my choice from these 3 cars. You're arguing with me like there's an argument to be won here.

My phone didn't load the images of the TT RS. All I saw was the muscle cars. :P
